SHAKE & BAKE

I have to say that I will never forget Tuesday, August 23.  the day the earth moved.

we faired well.  and have kept on baking

pies week of 8/4-8/6

this weeks pies

this week we will start testing new recipes for fall,  this week caramel apple pecan crumb

remember we will be glad to prepare any pie that you would like with 24 hours notice.

the ag fair was fun.  I have never judged a baking contest before.  I did pick up on a few things that can help
you if you enter a contest.   if you are doing something with chocolate, and the weather is hot  see if there will
be a cooler to hold your product before judging.  if not pick up a cheap styro cooler with some ice & bring it
as a judge this will make it easier to judge. i mean some of the chocolate items looked like the cows had already been there....if you know what I'm saying.  i was just glad none tasted like they looked.
the winning bakery item for adults....lemon chess pie...who would have guessed
